On Memorial Day (this Monday) there will be no 09:00 mass at church. Instead I will offer a special Mass at our Cemetery at 10:00 for our friends and family members who died ‘Under Arms’ as well as for all deceased Veterans. All are invited. Here are some other Ways to Observe This Day: -Visit cemeteries and place flags or flowers on the graves of our fallen heroes. -Visit local memorials. -Fly the U.S. Flag at half-staff until noon. -Fly the POW/MIA Flag -Pledge to aid the widows, widowers, and orphans of our fallen soldiers, and to aid the disabled veterans. -Pray for Peace {from Parish Bulletin 05/30/2010} |
